Last updatedJuly 2026

As currently configured, qmoney.app does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party profiling scripts. It does not ask you to accept those technologies because we have not deployed them.

There is one thing we store in your browser. It is described in full below, along with how to remove it.

Scope of this notice

This notice applies to qmoney.app as it currently operates. We will update it before making a material change to the browser storage used by the website.

What we store

The cached rate table

When you load a page with rates on it, your browser saves the rate table in localStorage — a small store built into the browser, similar to a cookie. It is not automatically included with web requests, and qmoney.app does not send the cached rate table back to Q Tech.

  • What is in it — the exchange rates we last retrieved, the date the market fixed them, the time we retrieved them, and which provider they came from. No personal information, no identifier, and nothing about you.
  • What it is called qm.fx.latest.AUD and qm.fx.latest.USD.
  • Why — so the rate table appears immediately on your next visit instead of a blank space, and so we do not re-fetch a rate that changes once per business day every time you open a page. We treat a cached table as current for one hour, then we refresh it in the background.
  • How long it lasts — until you clear your browser storage. It is overwritten each time we fetch a newer rate.

The rates in that cache are indicative reference rates, and a cached figure is by definition not the newest one. When what you are looking at is a stored snapshot rather than a fresh retrieval, the page says so under the figure. See our rate disclaimer.

If your browser blocks storage — private browsing, or a corporate policy — nothing breaks. We fetch the rates each time instead.

What we do not store

  • No advertising or marketing cookies. We do not run advertising.
  • No cross-site trackers, social pixels or remarketing scripts.
  • No profile of you, and no identifier that would let us recognise you on a return visit.
  • No authentication or session cookie is currently used by qmoney.app.

Our web host keeps standard server logs, including the IP address a request came from, to keep the site available and secure. That is a server record, not something stored on your device. Our privacy policy covers it.

Analytics

qmoney.app does not deploy visitor analytics scripts, analytics cookies, tracking pixels or behavioural profiling tools. Standard hosting logs may still record requested pages and related technical information, as explained in our website privacy policy.

If this changes, this page will be updated to identify the relevant technology and explain what it does before we deploy it.

How to remove it

Clear your site data for qmoney.app in your browser settings, or use your browser’s privacy or history controls. On the next page load we will simply fetch the rates again.

A browser-level setting that blocks storage on this site works too, and costs you nothing but a slightly slower first paint of the rate table.
