Document status

Public information for the Q Money website, set out in direct language and kept with the company record.

Last updatedJuly 2026

This policy explains how Q Tech Pty Ltd handles personal information in connection with qmoney.app and the email addresses published on it. Q Money is a brand of Q Tech Pty Ltd.

qmoney.app is the company and brand website for Q Money. It provides company information, general content, indicative reference-rate tools and ways to contact us. This policy is limited to those current website functions.

Information you choose to send

The website contact form asks for your name, email address and message. The website does not submit those details to a Q Tech server. Instead, it asks your browser to open a draft in your chosen email application. We receive the information only if you send the email.

Your email application or email provider may save or synchronise the draft under its own privacy practices, including before you send it. Once sent, the email and any reply are handled by our email provider as well as yours. The same applies when you write directly to an email address published on this website.

Please send only information reasonably necessary for your enquiry. Do not send passwords, identification documents, full bank account details, payment card details or other sensitive information through the general contact route.

Technical information

Our hosting provider may create standard server and security logs when your browser requests a page. Those records may include an IP address, request time, requested page, browser or device information, and diagnostic or security data. They are used to deliver, maintain and protect the website.

When a currency tool retrieves current or historical reference data, your browser may connect directly to Frankfurter or ExchangeRate-API. As with an ordinary web request, those providers may receive your IP address, the requested endpoint and other technical request information. An endpoint may identify the currencies or date range requested. The contents of the contact form are not included in these requests. Each provider's own privacy practices apply to information it receives directly.

The currency tools may save a recent rate snapshot in your browser's local storage. The snapshot contains rate data and source timestamps, not a user account or advertising identifier. Our cookies and local storage notice explains what is stored and how to remove it.

How we use website information

  • To read, route and respond to an email you choose to send.
  • To investigate a content, technical, accessibility or privacy concern.
  • To operate, diagnose, maintain and protect qmoney.app.
  • To establish, exercise or defend legal rights, or comply with a legal obligation.

The current website does not provide a customer account, accept payments, collect identity documents or submit currency exchange or money transfer instructions.

Who may handle the information

Website information may be handled by providers supporting our hosting, email, security and technical operations. We may also disclose information to professional advisers where reasonably necessary, or to a regulator, court or other authority where authorised or required by law.

Some providers and their infrastructure may be located outside Australia. The locations used by a provider can change. You may contact us for current information relevant to a website enquiry you have sent. We do not sell personal information collected through this website or disclose it for third-party advertising.

Retention and security

The website does not create a server-side copy of the details typed into the contact form. If you send the resulting email, we keep it and related correspondence only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, manage the matter and meet any applicable legal requirement. Hosting and independent data providers maintain their own technical records under their settings and policies.

We use reasonable measures appropriate to the website information we hold. However, no website or email transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please do not use general email to send information that requires a secure channel.

Access, correction and privacy concerns

You may ask whether we hold personal information about you in connection with this website, request access or correction, or raise a privacy concern by emailing compliance@qmoney.app. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to understand the request and verify that we are dealing with the correct person.

We will review the matter and respond as soon as reasonably practicable. Our website feedback and complaints page explains the process. If Australian privacy law gives you a right to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, the OAIC generally asks that you contact us first. Information about that process is available on the OAIC website.

External websites

Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience or source attribution. Their privacy practices are not controlled by this policy. Review the relevant third party's privacy information before providing information to it.

Updates

We will update this policy if the website or its handling of personal information changes. The month shown above identifies the current published version.
